The Flagg Township Museum recently established a research station at the museum - Research Rochelle - for visitors to conduct research through Ancestry.com, newspapers.com, and fold3.com (military history). In addition there is access to the museum's digital collection of selected newspaper articles and photos. Scanning personal photos is also an option thanks to a grant from the Rochelle Area Community Foundation that funded the purchase of a laptop, tv screen, and scanner/printer.
The museum also has a large collection of photos, documents, books, maps and plats and some genealogy information from Rochelle and Flagg Township for conducting research.
The staff is trained to conduct research and is ready to assist you with your research request.
Stop into the museum to discuss your request or email requests to email@example.com. A Research Request form can be found here.
Please provide details about the information you are researching and the format you would like the results sent to you (electronic or paper).
Costs vary depending on the volume of information, the length of time to complete the research, and if printed or emailed documents are requested. The basic cost of a research request is $10.
